PURE BRED SPANISH HORSES - P.R.E.- Pura Raza Española

History

Coves Darden Farm is located in Aiken, South Carolina dedicated to breeding, sales and stud service of P.R.E. (Pura raza española or Pure bred spanish horses)

Miguel Coves and Dorothea Darden founded Coves Darden P.R.E.  in Elche, Alicante, Spain.
In 2008, the operation was moved  to Aiken South Carolina, where a state of the art breeding and sales facility was built including a stallion station that offers stud service across the country and internationally.

Miguel Coves, was born and raised in Spain and has lived the culture of the Spanish horse since he was a child. Close ties have been kept over the years with fellow breeders in Spain.
Today, Coves Darden Farm houses close to 100 P.R.E. horses. Twelve have earned the title “Calificado” or Qualified breed stock from the LG-ANCCE. Three Stallions and Nine Mares a long with other high quality brood mares produce the horses of the Coves Darden brand.

Miguel Coves and Dorothea Darden actively manage the daily business operation of Coves Darden Farm.
Coves Darden employs barn care takers, grooms, equine reproductive assistants to care for and prepare young horses for their lives under saddle. Coves Darden keeps Dressage trainers on staff in house to help start the young horses and prepare them for competition and enjoyment. We work with independent trainers working from their own farms as well. We do our best and take pride in offering well bred and well trained P.R.E. horses at reasonable market prices to adult amateur riders and professionals alike.
